I have had my Savage for about 4 months and just broke 5000 miles. The sound of the stock muffler is quite quiet, under hard accleration at high speeds, you probably will hear more intake noise and wind than anything else.
As for vibrations, this bike is much smoother than any rigid mounted H-D. There is very little noticable vibration at speeds of up to 65mph, but at 75-85mph you will first notice a buzzy feeling through the foot pegs. (I think this is because of the thick rubber padding on the factory pegs.
